The building was designed by acclaimed Argentinian-American architect, César Pelli, who drew inspiration from its sister building – Winter Garden – in New York. The main feature of the building is the impressive glass atrium, which reaches twenty-seven metres high at its highest point, providing floor-to-sky views over Canary Wharf. The unique multicoloured marble flooring and beech-panelled interior also demonstrate the Art Deco influence on the design. The spectacular building is one of the most recognisable in the area, overlooking the Jubilee Park and the waterside at South Dock.
