Our Dickensian themed party is taking place at Finsbury Square, an incredible event space in the heart of the city of London.

Finsbury Square has the capacity for 1000 seated guests and 1500 in a reception setting, meaning that whether you’re a smaller group wanting to join one of our shared party nights or a larger company looking to host an exclusive party here, there’s plenty of space for all your attendees.

One of the big questions about our Dickensian Christmas party theme is – what exactly is it?

From the moment you arrive you’ll feel as though you’ve been transported away from 2019 and into the world of the Dickensian age. Venture along the cobbled streets, inspired by those that Charles Dickens himself would’ve walked, while Christmas carols play in the background. To entice all the senses, glowing gas lamps will light the way while scents of cinnamon, pine and chestnuts give a rustic and festive feel to the venue.

There’s plenty to explore along your journey from the entrance to the dining area. Our bar staff are dressed as though they’ve been pulled straight from the Victorian era, who are ready to serve you a drink to enjoy on your stroll around the aged streets.

As with any shared Smart party, our Dickensian-themed celebration will begin with reception drinks and canapés whilst you explore the venue and watch the incredible entertainment take place around you. A leisurely stroll with a glass of fizz will soon lead you to the dining area where you will be seated for a delightful three-course banquet.

Once your dinner has been served, entertainment will keep you thoroughly intrigued as you enjoy your food. Once your plates have been cleared and the live acts have finished taking to the stage, the party can really start with the casino opening and the DJ pressing play. The dance floor will open for you to celebrate the night away until 1 am when the last song will be played and taxis will be called.

Each ticket includes sparkling wine on arrival, delicious hot and cold canapés, an exceptional three-course banquet, access to explore the themed venue, exhilarating entertainment throughout the night, a dance floor and DJ. Casino tables and a photo experience are also available.

For an additional charge, you can upgrade your ticket with our range of drinks packages that will provide your table with a variety of different alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks throughout the night, prices varying depending on the drinks you choose.

Smart Hospitality will be responsible for the catering at the event, delivering delicious dishes using locally and sustainably sourced ingredients to deliver unforgettable flavour.

To give you an idea of what could be on the menu, starters include a Double-Baked Cheddar Cheese Soufflé, whilst Rosemary Butter Breast of Cotswold Chicken and Butternut Squash Risotto are on the menu for mains.

For desserts, expect a classic sticky toffee, orange and date pudding.
